Description

 Provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) solution within the ServiceNow platform.

 Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the ServiceNow HAM and SAM environment, proactively identifying and resolving any issues that arise.

 Install, configure, and upgrade ServiceNow components, including the HAM and SAM modules, ensuring compliance with VA standards and security policies.

 Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, including user guides, procedures, and technical specifications.

 Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end-users, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.

 Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or performance issues.

 Collaborate with the VA's IT security team to implement and maintain security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

 Perform regular system audits and assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, recommending and implementing necessary corrective actions.

 Stay abreast of the latest developments in ServiceNow, HAM, and SAM technologies, recommending upgrades and enhancements as needed.

 Provide mentorship and guidance to junior systems administrators and team members.

Requirements

 Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).

 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on ServiceNow or similar IT asset management, IT Service Management, HAM / SAM

 In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities, particularly the HAM and SAM modules.

 Strong experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading enterprise-level software applications.

 Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.

 Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Preferred:

 ITIL v4 certification.

 Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment.

A Senior Logistics Analyst must be able to create strategically tailored logistics plans  encompassing materiel and personnel procurement, maintenance, distribution, and  replacement. A Senior Logistics Analyst must have experience in conducting targeted  reviews of status and identify points of risk and be able to identify alternative strategies for addressing and mitigating risk.

Description

 Provide IT hardware (HW) and Software (SW) asset logistics lifecycle management

 including periodic supply inventory, day-to-day shipping, receiving, tagging,

 tracking, communication and deployment ensuring optimal and secure operations.

 Document procurement packages, shipping vendor, packaging supply vendor

 information and asset information based on asset specifications to include cost

 information, package delivery agreements, tracking, lost packages, claims, etc.

 Manage logistics database to track hardware and software logistics and work with

 team members on a consolidated view of Assets across Logistics, Maintenance and

 Management including lost packages, other remediation efforts, and periodic audits.

 Document and report Package Inventory management/physical accountability

 checks on all logistics supplies, Monthly Critical Priority Incidents and High Priority

 Incidents, partners with team members on AES Scores, VA Monitoring Framework,

 auto alerts to VA Office of IT, discrepancy & corrective action.

 Work closely with Analytics Lead on Asset and Account control Center Dashboard

 (Power BI) including Asset Logistics Management, and Quarterly KPI Report.

 Partner with team members for asset procurement, packages, cost information, etc.

 Coordinate and collaborate with defined escalation paths and fellow Asset team

 members for specifications and dependencies to maintain the baseline

 Manage and utilize asset logistics information for compliance and data calls

 Collaborate with ESOM Contract Business Operations team members for effective IT

 asset management and forecast / prepare for follow-on/future logistics demand

 Capturing logistics investment requirements and aligning those upstream to the

 portfolio and budget; laterally with HW – SW asset team members and downstream

 to customer service engineers and system administrators for timely and efficient

 delivery

 Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support through close

 monitoring of Incidents, Service Tickets, Logistics planning, asset tracking, Problem

 Management, etc.

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, business administration (8 years of

 additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)

 8 years of experience with IT asset logistics, ServiceNow or similar ITAM/ITSM.

 Experience in the procurement, maintenance, distribution, and replacement of

 material to enable a review and analysis of logistics plans.

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the development and implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management related functions within our VA End[1]user Support Operations and Monitoring (ESOM) contract. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in IT management with expertise in ServiceNow platform and HAM / SAM Pro Modules.

ServiceNow Developer possesses extensive functional and technical knowledge of highly specialized applications and operational environments. Possesses experience in analyzing and solving complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and implementation phases.

Solution Design

 Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure ITSM solutions that meet agency requirements.

 Create detailed documentation for ITSM solutions including, but not limited to, graphical solution representations, written solutions descriptions, and facilitate / support solutions delivery.

 Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in ITSM practices and technologies for solution integration.

 Identify areas of risk in ITSM solutions and provide risk mitigation recommendations for implementation.

 Lead technical teams in the implementation of ITSM solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and business objectives.

Training and Mentorship

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, management, information systems,

 engineering or related field (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for

 8 years of IT experience as ServiceNow Solution development or similar ITSM/ITAM/HAM[1]SAM Solutions, with demonstrated success on large projects.

 Strong understanding of ITSM processes, systems and best practices; with proven track

 record of ITSM implementation at scale.

 Technical:

 Ability to understand and translate complex technical requirements into implementable solutions.

 Expertise in Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, and CMDB, including performance optimization of ITSM systems.

 Experience in ITSM frameworks (ITIL), Agile concepts, development, and testing methodology (SDLC).

 Experience in Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM & SAM) and integrating ITSM solutions with other enterprise / cloud systems and applications.

 Knowledge of security best practices and standards related to ITSM.
